The Magnificent Mr. Winzo
This piece of art was created specifically for the Orlando Museum of Art in the hope that it would be displayed at a Platform event. One day travelling down W. Colonial, I saw this interesting homeless man at a local 7-Eleven store.
I asked if he would allow me to take his picture, and he said sure "and get my good side." Every side was a good side.
I offered to buy him lunch, but he only wanted water. So, I wondered what to draw for the Platform event, indeed he came to mind two years later. Thus, we have The Magnificent Mr. Winzo, because he was a wonderful person, so kind and polite. I felt honored to take his picture with that beautiful smile.
