It was December 8, 2016, and I had just completed an IT contract for Disney.  Yes, I was out of work just before Christmas.  Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year.  I love getting gifts for the family, but I had not found a gift for my brother Thurman.  I remembered this poem he had penned and envisioned how the character of the poem may have looked.  Sitting at the island in the kitchen, I drew the character of that poem in charcoal.  He was not drawn like my usual drawings, it was then I realized God had blessed me with something new…. a Christmas gift!  Like any kid with a new toy, I played with it for weeks, and I am still playing with it.  Well, it started the style of charcoal drawing that I do today.  That’s when it all started…
