The Winter Garden Project

2025 Drawing the Lines of History

Wonda Granville is a local charcoal artist whose works capture everyday people doing everyday things. She calls it “the amusing art of telling stories.” She is a proud “Southerner” from Oviedo, Florida, with a deep Southern heritage. Her art has served as a method for narrating the lives of family and friends. Now, she has focused her abilities on telling the stories of history. Stories from local communities and the citizens that have shaped them. Recently, she participated in the City of Winter Garden’s Black History Month celebration; “The Winter Garden Project: Drawing the Lines of History” collection is the result of that venture.
