2024 La Vie de Jardin at Lakeshore
On September 14, 2024, People Art & Company presented the multidisciplinary exhibition and stage production La Vie de Jardin (Life in the Garden) at the Lakeshore Center in Ocoee, Florida. This community-centered event brought together six artists whose work reflects diverse perspectives on identity, culture, and lived experience.
Participating artists included Alexandra Vasconcelos, Jeremy Wubker, Ivan Smith, Mallory Forrest Nagler, Vandana Gulati, and Wonda Granville. Each artist contributed work that explored themes of resilience, beauty, memory, and preservation, creating a collective narrative that engaged audiences across cultural and experiential backgrounds.
The exhibition was intentionally designed as an immersive, garden-inspired environment to encourage accessibility, reflection, and dialogue between artists and the public. In addition to the visual art, the original stage play La Vie de Jardin expanded the project’s storytelling through performance, exploring themes of growth, transformation, and creative identity.
The event provided a platform for both established and emerging artists to present their work in a professional setting, while offering audiences meaningful opportunities for engagement with contemporary art. Through curated presentation, live performance, and shared experience, La Vie de Jardin fostered community connection, supported artistic development, and demonstrated a sustainable model for artist-led programming.

The Poster of the
Withers-Maguire House
I enjoyed drawing this beautiful old house, rich with history and over flowing with hospitality ...rocking chairs on the porch and full of Southern charm. The original hangs in the City of Ocoee City Hall.

Thank you note

The Play:
A Romantic comedy
La Vie de Jardin
La Vie de Jardin (Life in the Garden) is an original stage play by Wonda J. Granville that explores friendship, identity, love, and personal growth through the lives of artists navigating life and relationships.
The following excerpt captures a defining moment in the story — where life, art, and purpose are reflected through a powerful metaphor of growth.
“La Vie de Jardin is part of a larger body of work exploring life, growth, and community through visual and performing arts.”

"I pondered over this play for weeks, then one day it happened. I was at the computer and wrote the entire play in one day, ahhh!"
