2024 La Vie de Jardin at Lakeshore
On September 14, 2024, People Art & Company presented the Art Exhibition and Stage Play “La Vie de Jardin” (meaning Life in the Garden) at Lakeshore Center in Ocoee, FL. The event hosted six artists who have cultivated and mastered their art style and craft. Xanda Vasconcelos magnified the realities of life and the culture of everyday people. Her art shows people who fight through the bad or good events in life to a great triumph. Jeremy Wubker, the painter, creates beautiful women on canvas as diverse, delightful, and whimsical as they are. Ivan Smith draws his subjects in a way that dignifies and immortalizes them in the art halls. Mallory Forrest Nagler is the photographer whose photos satisfy our love of reality when it feels like a wonderful fantasy. Vandana Gulati, whose drawings of endangered animals appear almost real, but we know this is her way of preserving these animals in history. And finally, me, Wonda Granville. I’m fascinated and in love with people. I believe people are God’s art, which makes Him a phenomenal artist and by far the best artist in history. In the spirit of La Vie de Jardin, the art is displayed in a French Garden setting.

The play “La Vie de Jardin” is about four women in the art industry who are best friends, and all are flowers in the garden. The play is a romantic comedy about how the Gardener cultivates them to become flourishing beautiful fleurs (flowers). Guests enjoyed a delicious variety of Chef Greg Dew’s small-plate masterpieces. And lately, I had discovered the rich delightful taste of Portuguese red/white wines (Thanks Alex), those wonderful wines were served as well. The show was our opportunity to showcase all the creative art we have been working on in private…but a good exhibit is always like the movie “Night in the Museum,” everything comes all, except we are in the Garden.
