Hot Florida Summer

Appetizer

Food that puts you under a shade tree

Summer in Florida can be brutal because of the heat.  Summer meals consist of healthy, fresh, and refreshing foods.

Appetizer:  Goat cheese and bacon Burchetta

Entrée:  Variety of Summer Mixed Greens, with vine-ripe tomatoes, juicy cucumbers, homemade croutons,  bacon, eggs, black or kalamata olives, and aged pecorino romano cheese shavings. Also, you can “up the ante’, by adding grilled Chicken or Steak to any salad. And the Chef's choice of dressing.

Beverage and Dessert: What would summer be without a variety of cookies and cupcakes, washed down with homemade southern lemonade maybe with a kick, but definitely without the stand; this is how Floridians fight off the summer heat!

Pepperoni Pizza

The Italian Lover

Seriously, you gotta love all things Italian

This menu often remains you of a pizza date and if you are lucky, it was an authentic Italian restaurant.  Imagine sharing a homemade pizza, or an antipasti platter before a perfect Italian dish with your favorite guy, Bravo!

Appetizer: Variety of Summer Mixed Greens for a great salad, add wedges of Roma tomatoes, cucumber shaving, homemade butter croutons, black olives, and rich parmesan cheese.  Topped with a fine choice of vinaigrette dressings.

Entrée:  Homemade pizzas topped with pepperoni, bacon, sausage, chicken, fresh veggies of red onions, basil from the garden, spinach, mushrooms, and olives; all mingling with Mozzarella cheese, perhaps with sprinkles of goat and asiago cheeses or some other fancy cheese.

Beverage and Dessert: Just the idea of Italian desserts brings up pictures of high calories and utter delight.  Top of the menu is Tiramisu cups, waistline-friendly Cannolis, and a host of different biscotti.  Served with your choice of slightly sweet, light-bodied wines like Moscato d'Asti, Bracheeto d'Acqui, or Lambrusco.

The Southernah

Meat Cuts

Yep, it's Grandma's home cooking

Anyone on this side of the Mason Dixion knows that this kind of Southern food, is truly comfort food, the kind that puts you to sleep.

Appetizer: Hot drop biscuits with herb butter and syrup, or Buttermilk Cornbread Muffins with a taste of honey.  That’s just for starters…imagine.

Entrée:  Just like Grandma’s southern soul food it's slow cooked.  These entrées are rich in favor because they cook all day, entrées like slow cooked Chicken, and savory Roast Beef served with either long-grain Rice, or Old Fashion Mashed potatoes with some down-home pot dripping gravy.

Beverage and Dessert: Popular southern desserts are the mile-high Red Velvet Cake, deep dish Banana pudding full of wafers, and a rich Chocolate cake under a Chocolate ganache icing.  Served with real Southern Sweet Tea.

Christmas cake

T'is the Season

Celebrating good will to everyone and the birth of Christ.

Christmas is the best time of the year...for real.  Especially for Southerners who as we say know how to “roll out a dog” to celebrate the blessings of the season and of Christ.

Appetizer: Various hot pieces of bread, served with herb butter, honey, sauces, and a little Divinia Fig spread.  Also served with Charcuterie and/or Crudites platters to help get you started.

Entrée: Herb-seasoned baked Turkey and/or roasted Chicken on small plates flank with our own deep South back-woods pecan dressing or buttered garlic and dillweed country mashed potatoes covered with turkey or chicken "meat" gravy;  Oh, and a little cranberry sauce for the serious foodies.

Beverage and Dessert: Nothing says Christmas better than a bucket of Holiday cookies in several varieties, accompanied by a tub of Holiday cupcakes in several other varieties.  The beverage list is divine, it is red and white wines, both slightly dry, and a limited selection of mixed drinks including bourbon, whiskey, tequila, gin, and vodka.
